HOME SWEET HOME

Jaden got to come home this past sunday!!! She is settling in and enjoying being kissed, hugged and loved on 24-7! We went to the eye doc this morning for the girls. It was our first outing as a family :) quite an adventure. We had the girls in their car seats in their new ride! It’s sooo awesome to have all three of them home!

Poor little Jaden is still in the Nicu all by herself. She’s doing good and hit 6 lbs yesterday! I can’t wait to get her home, though we REALLY want her to come home OFF of oxygen. We’ve definitely found it challenging toting the oxygen around, up and down the stairs etc. for Siena.

Siena has enjoyed being home! She’s takin’ a nap on daddy & lovin it!

It’s been fun having Siena and Gemma home together. They are so different! We took her oxygen off so we could give her a bath and give her face a short break. Lookin' forward to her not being on it!

Valentines Day 2011

Siena is doing great! Valentines day she weighs in at 5lb 5oz! And i’m doing an overnight with her tonight at the hospital. They are delivering the oxygen today and if all goes well overnight Siena will be coming home TOMORROW!!

Jaden is doing great too! She’s finishing up her antibiotics and if all goes well will hopefully be coming home before next weekend. She’s gained weight as well, she’s 5lb 9oz.

Gemma has been lovin’ being at home! So much so that she’s gained over a pound in the week she’s been home! She’s now 7lb’s 6oz!

Can’t wait to get the other two home so we can love on them and get their weight up as well!!

Doc has ordered home oxygen so that she can come home. If all goes well she should be coming home by next weekend.

Jaden had a setback but is doing better. She had to go back to level 3 Nicu but has since moved back up to level 2 and within a few days should be back to level 1.

Gemma got her first bath at home! She thought it was strange at first but then seemed to really enjoy it.

Gemma has moved from undecided on hair color to strawberry blond! Talking to my mom today she said that I had strawberry blond hair when i was a newborn also. :) So far looks like she’s going to have blue eyes! What a beauty!

DUE DATE

Today is my actual due date! Crazy!! The girls have been doing great but yesterday Siena and Jaden took a little step backward.

Siena was having a little trouble keeping her tempurature steady so they put her back in an isolette. She is also requiring more oxygen so they are doing labs to make sure she’s not getting sick. Hopefully all will come back negative and she’ll get back on track.

Jaden looked pale and wasn’t doing as well either, she went back on high flow oxygen to help her rest. They put her back in an isolette and moved her back to the level 3 Nicu (but i feel like it was so they could keep a better eye on her) They took her off of feeds, put an iv back in to give her nutrients and gave her a blood transfusion. Today she looks alot better. Though she is NOT happy about not being able to eat! In this pic she’s doing this thing she does where she puts her but in the air and you think she’s going to touch her feet to the back of her head lol. She cracks me up!

Gemma is doing geat! She loves being at home and is just as happy as can be snuggling with mommy and daddy and getting a multitude of kisses each day!

We can’t wait to have all the girls home! I’m afraid with Jaden & Siena’s little set back it will be longer than we had hoped so we wait and look forward to when we can have them all together and give them kisses all day long.

Car Seat Challenge

Gemma had her car seat test tonight and passed with flying colors! Well she did get tired of sitting there after 90 minutes but she did great!

Don’t know what she’s pouting about!! Gemma is doing great! They took her feeding tube out today! I can't imagine how good it feels for her (after 13 weeks of having a tube shoved down your throat) to be TUBE FREE!! She's been doing so good on her feedings they were able to take it out. We're trying not to get our hopes up but she could be coming home soon! There are still a few hoops to jump through but it's close. The nurse said not to get too excited because she could be ready to go home and that day have some issue that keeps her there for another week or more. But yea... after 13 weeks it's hard not to be excited!
